The remarkable story of Raine & Horne dates back to 1883, when property pioneers Tom Raine and Joseph Horne opened for business in Wentworth Court, Sydney. Tom and Joseph put in place a set of business practices that have been maintained by Raine & Horne to the present day, with a commitment to personalised service and meeting a client’s needs across sales, leasing, management and consulting services for all categories of real estate. Since those early days, four generations of the Raine family have helped Raine & Horne rise to the top of a competitive real estate market. By the 1970s, the Raine & Horne network stretched across Sydney, yet the group’s Board wasn’t satisfied, deciding to pursue an expansionary franchising business model. This proved a major watershed for Raine & Horne, which opened its first franchised office, Raine & Horne Liverpool NSW, in 1976. Since this time, Raine & Horne has grown significantly, to the point where it now has offices across all states and territories in Australia, as well as globally. Led by Executive Chairman and CEO Angus Raine, the Group celebrates 135 years strong in 2018, making it one of the oldest privately-owned firms in the southern hemisphere and Australia’s oldest family-owned real estate firm. Geoff and Renée Rice, owners of Langlands Hanlon are excited to announce that they have taken on a Raine & Horne franchise to enhance their real estate business trading as Raine & Horne, Parkes. The successful livestock sales business, Langlands Hanlon, will continue trading as they have for over the last 80 years offering local trusted and professional service to which their clients have become accustom to. Langlands Hanlon diversified into Real Estate a few years ago and are now delighted to align themselves with the 135 year old super brand Raine & Horne. Geoff and Renée believe that Raine & Horne can provide them with industry best processes, procedures, improved communications, latest technology platforms and training which will benefit the Parkes wider community. Geoff and Renée were impressed with the Raine & Horne’s managements passion for rural and regional Australia and are excited to collaborate with other offices within the network.
